A Magical Musical Adventure for Primary Schools
to explore and discover music

Music Generation Leitrim, working with partners Mayo, Sligo, Leitrim ETB and Leitrim County Council,

​Co-funded by U2 and The Ireland Funds offers subsidised quality Performance Music Education to primary schools.
This year our school is lucky to have been contacted by Music Generation to see if we would like to avail of this service.

Of course we gave an enthusiastic “YES!”
As a result Sarah comes to our school each Tuesday for 30 minutes in each classroom.

Pupils have a chance to explore the world of music through singing.

Along with singing other class activities include:

Musical games
Listening and moving/responding to music
Have fun with body percussion
An opportunity to explore classroom percussion instruments
Read and write music through staff notation
An introduction to a variety of orchestral instruments
Instrument making
