Physical Activity

The children are into the last week of their 4 week skipping challenge. Here are some photos from over the last 4weeks!!

We held an Easter hunt in the school grounds for our pupils on the 10th April 2025. The pupils enjoyed searching for their Easter treats and the weather was lovely for it! 

We’re lucky at Ballaghameehan NS to have a grass area to play in along with a tarred playground. The weather was beautiful this week meaning our grass area was dry for us to enjoy!

The school have signed up to the Skip around Europe challenge. This is a 4 week skipping Challenge which began on the 31st March and will end on the 9th May 2025. The school have received a resource pack of skipping ropes by participating in the Challenge. Here are some photos from the first day of the challenge.

Ballaghameehan NS aims to make Active Breaks part of each school day and to keep the pupils physically active as much as possible while learning. 

Our school strive to stay as active as possible during the school day. Below are photos of the pupils painting the mural in the school shelter, participating in maths trails and participating in nature trails around the school.

As part of our Seachtain na Gaeilge celebrations all the pupils learned the Siege of Ennis which they enjoyed!
