Grandparents Day!!!

Today marked a very special day in our school as we celebrated Grandparents Day by making St. Brigid’s crosses. It was lovely to have so many of the children’s parents and grandparents passing on the tradition of making St. Brigid’s crosses to their children and grandchildren. One of our parents made a brídog- which is a small doll made from rushes to represent Saint Brigid. The special bond between grandparents and their grandchildren was very obvious today.  We were delighted to have so many experienced craftspeople to help!
